Claire's
Elastic Ponytail Bands

Looks great on men! Doesn't look feminine!

You can buy cheap Goody brand elastic ponytail bands at any drugstore or largish grocery store. You can get better ones, such as Vidal Sassoon and Scünci*, as stores such as Fred Meyer, Wal-Mart, or Target.

But the best I've seen are at Claire's accessories stores. Claire's makes great elastic ponytail bands that don't look feminine on men. Take a look at the pictures below. The bands aren't expensive -- $2.50 for packs of 6 bands.

Claire's stores are variously named Claire's, The Icing, Topkapi, Dara Michelle, and Accessories Place. Among them, the best selection of ponytail bands I've seen that don't look feminine on men was at The Icing.

Click here to find the nearest Claire's, The Icing, Topkapi, Dara Michelle, or Accessories Place (all of which are really Claire's) in your area.

If you know if any ponytail bands as good as or better than Claire's and where to find them, please let me know.

Click each band below for a larger picture. The band isn't bigger, but seeing more the of the hair might help put it in perspective.

Unfortunately, my cheap digital camera just doesn't do these bands justice. If you wear ponytail bands, you really should go see these for yourself.

This one is actually a darker burgundy than it appears in this picture. It's the same band as the darker burgundy one in the picture below showing all the bands.

This one is very textured -- perhaps as close as you can get to a scrunchie look without it looking feminine.

Hairband_TriColor_Wearing_Small.jpg (4942 bytes)

Kinda hard to tell in the picture, but this one is three colors -- burgundy, navy, & forest green.

This forest green band looks fantastic -- the picture from my cheap digital camera doesn't begin to do it justice. I'm tempted to say it looks elegant, but I don't want to give you the false impression that it looks at all feminine.

Um, of the two bands that appear white in this picture, the upper one is actually a light cream color.

*Scünci -- that's Scunci with a u umlaut, if it isn't showing up correctly on your computer.
